EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Anonymous has aimed its fire at Australian anti-piracy lobby group AFACT in a sustained attack that took the group's website down earlier today.

The attack also took out up to 8,000 customers of AFACT's web host NetRegistry in the process.

Also today, the deadline for submissions to a Government inquiry into the online privacy of Australians has been extended.
