Good morning,

Web hosts and other service providers that adopted VMware early now face a very different licensing regime to the fixed-term, per-processor agreements they originally struck with the vendor.

The per-VM model, introduced in 2007, will now apply to all web hosting partners, making licensing more expensive and creating "problems" for some, according to sources and at least one analyst.
