EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Our focus remains on Canberra today - where mere minutes ago Prime Minister Julia Gillard announced her cabinet in the lead-up to the Federal election.

Senator Stephen Conroy has kept the Communications portfolio, and Lindsay Tanner will stay on as Finance Minister until the election.

DFAT, meanwhile, is scrapping IBM's collaboration tools in favour of Microsoft, whilst Telstra is being slammed for shutting down a Linux mirror service.
