EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

At its technology briefing yesterday, Telstra told journalists that it would consolidate its three existing data centres into two centralised facilities. iTnews editor Brett Winterford had a closer look at the telco's presentation to learn that it could be decommissioning a 3,470-square-metre space at Global Switch.

In other news, the ACCC has filed Federal Court proceedings against Singtel Optus over its "unlimited" offerings, and the 'Linaro' partnership has emerged to advance Linux on mobile handsets.
