EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,
The CSIRO is concerned that Liberal leader Tony Abbott's proposal to reduce spending by freezing public servant recruitment could leave it without over 1,300 staff.
In other news, Opticomm has confirmed that the NBN Tasmania network operations centre will officially launch tomorrow with three staff, and travellers may have to wait a little longer for hotels to upgrade in-room technology.
