HP’s $12.3M outsourcing contract gets extended by National Foods
The three-year deal was signed between the two companies in 2003, with HP agreeing to manage National Foods’ IT infrastructure. The deal was worth $12.3 million.

The new contract allows HP to provide National Foods with a full range of IT infrastructure services. It will also include the introduction of SAP applications and HP Superdome servers.

Simon Gatward, director of outsourcing, HP South Pacific, said by outsourcing those aspects of the business to HP, National Foods can afford to invest a greater focus on its core business.

“We will process and look to standardise and improve its shared IT services to achieve business efficiencies,” he said.

National Foods’ core activities are involved around the distribution of milk, fresh dairy foods, juice, soy beverages and specialty cheese.

It is also a producer of juice and drinking milk in Australia and the leader in the fresh dairy foods market with around 3,500 employees and 24 processing plants throughout Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
