Raritan switches onto itX

KVM switch, serial console server and remote power management devices vendor, Raritan, has appointed itX Group Limited as an Australian distributor.

Raritan Australia and itX signed the distribution agreement on 9 May and itX is expected to begin processing Raritan orders the week commencing 28 May.

itX general manager of distribution, Greg Newman, said the distributor was particularly impressed with the level of local support as well as the leads, training, marketing support and deal registration discounts offered by Raritan Australia’s Certified Partner Program.

“We regularly receive KVM queries from Sun resellers and believe Raritan's enterprise-level range of IT infrastructure management solutions represent new opportunities for our partners,” said Newman.

Raritan has achieved significant double-digit growth in Australian and New Zealand over the past three years and the outlook remains positive. The vendor also opened a new North Sydney office in March and has expanded the local sales and support teams to include several new appointments, he said.

Gary Hull, director of sales - A/NZ, said the growing demand for IT infrastructure management solutions has compelled Raritan to expand its Certified Partner Program to include a greater number of Tier 1 System Integrators and VARs to service ASX200 companies, as well as an extensive base of federal and state government agencies throughout Australia.

“Throughout the selection process, itX demonstrated a high-level of experience, capability and focus in providing high standards in servicing and supporting a Tier 1 VAR network. Of equal importance, is itX’s current vendor portfolio which compliments Raritan’s enterprise-level IT infrastructure management solutions," he said.

According to Hull, many organisations within the public and private sectors, as well as a range of government agencies are facing higher expectations in terms of improvements of service delivery and performance, though with less in terms of tighter operational budgets.

“By offering Australian companies solutions that significantly simplify and reduce the complexity and cost associated with IT infrastructure management, Raritan's solutions assist IT managers in addressing these challenges,” Hull said.
