SurfControl appoints Datacom to SE Asia

Australian-owned professional services company, Datacom will head SurfControl's service operations in South East Asia.

Under the arrangement, Datacom will provide SurfControl’s South East Asian operation and reseller network with local language specialists for lead generation, inside sales, marketing, partner support and technical assistance.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, the sales support centre is further evidence of SurfControl’s commitment to the channel and customers in South East Asia.

Scott Phillips general manager of sales marketing services at Datacom said the service provider has had 16 years experience in the region.

“This follows the launch of SurfControl’s on-demand email content management service MailControl in Malaysia and Singapore in April, completing the company’s portfolio of solutions in the region,” he said.

David Lenz vice president of sales at SurfControl said Datacom offers SurfControl the right mix of sales, marketing and technical know-how to support our staff and resellers in South East Asia.

“More importantly, this partnership delivers us a team with local expertise that understands the specific business conditions in South East Asia,” he said.
