Judge Peter Openshaw is presiding over a trial in Woolwich Crown Court of three men accused of inciting terrorism over the internet, but has halted the trial to have the word 'website' explained to him.

But Openshaw interrupted questioning about a web forum containing posts by alleged Islamist radicals, saying that he did not fully understand some of the terms involved.

"The trouble is I don't understand the language. I don't really understand what a website is," he told the court.

"I haven't quite grasped the concepts."

The judge is facing a tough time in court today as a computer expert will be testifying on technical aspects of the case.

Younes Tsouli, 23, Waseem Mughal, 24, and Tariq al-Daour, 21, all deny inciting another person to commit an act of terrorism "wholly or partly" outside Britain.

Tsouli and Mughal are also charged with conspiracy to murder, and Al-Daour for conspiring with others to defraud.
