Gaming vest simulates bullet wounds

ForceWear Vest allows users to feel the gameplay.

A small gaming hardware maker has developed a wearable device that allows users to feel the sensation of having their bodies riddled with bullets.

The ForceWear Vest from TN Games distributes ten pounds of force on each of eight contact points. The motto for the product is 'Get Pounded on Your Own Terms'.

TN Games is demonstrating the unit at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

The company said that the vest can apply impacts for single or multiple bullet wounds, and "through and through missile injuries".

The ForceWear Vest also simulates kicks and punches in fighting games, and G-force effects in racing games and flight simulators.

TN Games hopes to ship the vest to PC users in November. The device will be available in black, camouflage and a special "racing vest" pattern designed to resemble the flame suits worn by pilots and racing drivers.
