India’s apace organisation selects Guardian

The solution portfolio includes EnGarde Secure Linux, Internet Acceleration and Management Server, Secure Mail Suite, EnGarde WorkGroup Suite and Internet Defence & Detection System, which will encompass a network of thirty independent research centres and thousands of users. Utilizing EnGarde Secure Linux as the foundation, the security network will provide virus and spam protection, customised security features and the ability to integrate legacy systems into a more manageable environment. Guardian Digital's WebTool will allow the organisation's network administrators to easily manage all security updates, server configurations, corporate user policies and network reporting capabilities through a simplified web-based interface.

Dr. N. Ramani, a visiting scientist associated with the space organisation's Information Security planning said: "The security and integrity of our network is absolutely essential to our daily operations - there is no room for compromise. The scalability and security that we now have with our Guardian Digital solution will ensure future network integrations of other centres are simple and manageable."

Dave Wreski, chief executive officer of Guardian Digital added: "For high level government organizations such as ISRO, maintaining internet and network security becomes increasingly challenging as the number of threats grow exponentially every day." He said that Guardian Digital was addressing such concerns by eliminating daunting maintenance and upgrade requirements that unnecessarily burden IT resources and often relegate enterprises to running outdated, and therefore vulnerable, systems.
