Security training body (ISC)2 is to award four one-year scholarships each worth up to $12,500.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be in full-time post-graduate education and studying security at a university officially recognized by the organisation.

The non-profit organization said that scholarship recipients will be selected based on the relevance of their research to the (ISC)2 list industry best practices.

"Colleges and universities that participate in our scholarship program demonstrate their commitment to offering the most comprehensive, security education to their students," said James E. Duffy, CISSP, president and chief executive officer of (ISC)2.

The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2004.
