FTC charges two phishermen

By

The Federal Trade Commission has charged two phishermen for using false information to obtain sensitive data.

Zachary Keith Hill and an unnamed youth were charged by the FTC for deceptive practices.

Scammers use identity theft emails, known as phishing,  to direct victims to phoney websites designed to capture sensetive data.

The FBI and the Computer Crimes Division of the Department of Justice helped the FTC to prosecute the pair.

Hill could face 46 months in jail.
