Diamond mining company betters LAN security

The South African operations of international diamond mining house De Beers has standardized on the Enterasys Secure NetworksT solution for its local area network (LAN).

By upgrading its network backbone with the solution, which incorporates 10-gigabit Ethernet technology, De Beers will strengthen security, availability and throughput levels of a new SAP system it is currently deploying across all of its South African sites.


An additional benefit should be a rise in productivity, as well, according to a recent news release.

De Beers' partner, Bytes Technology Networks, has also upgraded to the solution.
