Ben Barnes to head ActivCard

Smartcard firm ActivCard has appointed a new CEO.

Ben C. Barnes was also elected to serve on the firm's board of directors.
 
"I will bring twenty-five years of experience and several years experience selling exclusively to the Federal Government - which comes from working with global 2000 customers," said Barnes.


Before jumping ship, Barnes served as President and CEO of Intraspect Software.
 
ActivCard provides single-sign-on technology.
