Worth up to $366 million.

Transfield Services has been awarded one new and one extended contract with NBN Co for network builds in Victoria, the company announced today.

Transfield wins new NBN contracts

The construction giant was awarded a two-year, $66 million contract for the construction of ‘build drops’ (exterior pre-house connections) in the state, and a two-year extension to its current $133 million, two-year contract to design and construct the fibre-optic network in Victoria, worth up to $300 million.

The contract means Transfield will work alongside fellow NBN contractor Visionstream in the state. Visionstream was awarded the Victorian works as part of a two-year $334 million fibre rollout contract also across Queensland and southern NSW.

It follows from Transfield’s $170 million, two-year Sydney fibre contract win in late March.

In May 2012, Transfield was awarded a three-year contract for $41 million for the provision of comprehensive facilities maintenance services for all NBN Co sites across the country.
