Dimension Data, McAfee bag CenITex security deal

Technology to streamline security management and improve efficiency.

The Victorian Government has awarded Dimension Data and McAfee a contract with its IT agency CenITex to provide information security.

The contract would enable CenITex to deliver improved threat and vulnerability management and create a more secure operating environment, the companies said.

The vendors would provide gateway content filtering, endpoint protection for servers and desktops and network and vulnerability assessment.

“This solution will enable CenITex to further improve operational efficiency and streamline security management while effectively meeting their compliance goals,” said McAfee A/NZ managing director Andrew Littleproud.

Dimension Data Australia chief executive officer Steve Nola said it added to Government deployments over the past three years, “so we have a strong understanding of CenITex, its environment and the challenges the organisation faces”.

This time last year, Dimension Data teamed with NetApp to provide storage and backup services to the shared services agency.
