Hewlett-Packard’s (HP) Enterprise Services division has secured a ten year services deal with US space agency NASA, worth US$2.5 billion.
The end-user computing deal covers maintenance, security and management of the agency’s desktop, mobile and peripheral devices.
HP beat out incumbent infrastructure provider Lockheed Martin, according to a report by Bloomberg.
A spokesperson for Lockheed Martin said the company was disappointed with the outcome.
The HP contract will be managed through NASA’s shared services facility which it jointly owns with outsourcing giant CSC.
