Interim injunctions, requested by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), have been issued by a federal court under the Spam Act.
The Federal Court in Perth has issued interim injunctions under the Spam Act against Clarity1 Pty Ltd and its managing director Wayne Mansfield, the ACMA said.
These interim injunctions would apply until a further hearing on 4 August, according to a statement from the ACMA.
According to the ACMA, Justice Nicholson ordered that Clarity1 not send commercial electronic messages with an Australian link "to any electronic address, except where it has the prior consent, in accordance with the Spam Act, of the recipient or is otherwise permitted by the Spam Act".
