Cellnet poaches Ingram Micro finance director

National distributor Cellnet Group has appointed former Ingram Micro Australia finance director Mark Bloomer as its new chief financial officer.

National distributor Cellnet Group has appointed former Ingram Micro Australia finance director Mark Bloomer as its new chief financial officer.

Bloomer, 47, was one of the architects of Ingram’s Tech Pacific acquisition, according to Cellnet.

A chartered accountant, Bloomer was also previously finance director at Blue Star Group, a distributor of IT&T related products and a subsidiary of NASDAQ listed company US Office Products Inc.

Bloomer replaced previous Cellnet CFO Scott McLennan who has resigned and will stay on with the company until 9 August to assist in the completion of year-end and handover requirements, Cellnet said.

Bloomer would relocate from Brisbane to Sydney to assume the role.

His appointment follows the resignation of Cellnet managing director Stephen Harrison in May. Harrison was replaced by former Kanbay country manager Adam Davenport.

Harrison, however, was remaining at Cellnet as a consultant until mid way through next year. Davenport had entered into an executive service agreement with Cellnet for an initial three years.
