Power kit maker Eaton has bolstered its range of racks and enclosures and airflow management systems for data centres with the acquisition of a US company, Wright Line.
Wright Line has about 350 staff.
The acquisition was subject to regulatory approvals. Financials details weren't disclosed.
"Combining Wright Line's strong enclosure and air management portfolio along with Eaton's UPS [uninterruptible power supplies] and power distribution offerings creates a strong solution to help our customers deal with the challenges associated with energy efficiency, thermal management and capital deployment," Eaton said in a statement.
Eaton has approximately 70,000 employees worldwide.
