Country Energy seeks new data centre space

 

Australia's largest electricity network seeks rack space.

Country Energy has released a tender for the lease of space within a secure data centre facility.

The NSW Government-owned enterprise is seeking submissions from organisations able to offer facilities on a co-location lease arrangement.

Country Energy is looking for a data centre facility rated at a minimum Tier 3 by the Uptime Institute's published standards, with dual-powered equipments and multiple uplink facilities.

Submissions need to be made by 10:00am, 11 March, 2010.

Country Energy currently operates the largest electricity network in Australia, covering 95 percent of New South Wales, and offering retail energy in five other states and territories.
