Details leaked on Apple product roadmap

Barclays Capital email sheds light.

Apple’s product roadmap for the next year is likely to include iPods with video cameras, a tablet computer, a low-end Macbook and an upgrade for Apple TV, according to reports on Friday.

In a note seen by CNN, Barclays Capital analyst Ben Reitzers listed a number of products he expected Apple to introduce.

The note was sent to Barclays' clients soon after Reitzers met with Apple company executives including Greg Joswiak, Peter Oppenheimer and Eddy Cue.

Reitzers said he expected Apple to launch iPods with cameras before the end of August and a new tablet computer in the first half of 2010.

Speculation had been rife during the last year that Apple will introduce a tablet computer into its range.

However, the company has long contended it is not ready to get into the growing netbook market, maintaining that such low-cost systems lack the quality it desires in its offerings.

Also included on Reitzers' list was a new low-end Macbook priced below the Macbook Pro, which he expects to be launched by the end of this year.

He also expected the firm to upgrade Apple TV and sign an iPhone deal with China Unicom.
