Apple drops top Macbook Air price

The kindly folk at Cupertino have lopped £300 ($500) off of the price of the top-spec Macbook Air.

Still the thinnest notebook in the world, and guaranteed to make your average Apple fanboi's winky go a bit funny at thirty paces, the 64GB SSD version has dropped from £2028 to a slightly less wallet-worrying £1719.

We can only assume that the price drop is due to the crashing prices of solid state memory and the 1.8MHz CPU from Intel.

Specs remain unchanged.
