ETT says goodbye to CEO

May has proved to be a month of board changes for Australian telecommunication service provider ETT Limited.

ETT’s board accepted the resignation of Gordan Tudor as the chief executive officer of ETT. Tudar had served with the telco for the past two years. In a statement to the ASX, the board thanked Tudor for services, but didn’t offer any reasons for his resignation. Jim Meehan will step in as acting CEO for ETT.

According to the ASX, Tudor’s departure follows the resignation of ETT’s non-executive director, Duncan Little, on 5 May. In an ASX statement released on the 26 May, the board announced the appointment of Peter Wicks as Little’s replacement.

ETT also ended Larry Shutes’ role as ETT’s executive chairman. He will now undertake his duties as non-executive chairman of telco’s board of directors.

Both Tudor and Shutes oversaw ETT’s sign-up as IPSTAR’s exclusive National Service Operator on 1 January. At the time Shutessaid: “We will be working on the one to two percent of the population that will never be covered by fibre because these are areas of the market where we know we can operate.”

ETT had hoped to grow the 25,000 customer base it inherited from IPSTAR by targeting the 300,000 people represented in the "extreme" regional two percent of the country.
