Crazy Johns pays with TNS

Crazy John’s has chosen Transaction Network Services to provide secure card payments across its various business operations.

A US-owned vendor, TNS offers a hosted recurring billing service that provides Crazy John’s with one unified interface for processing both credit card and direct debit payments. The service is known as the merchant payment gateway solution.

Stephen Tuffley, head of operations at Crazy John's, claimed this offering is reducing the costs normally associated with managing multiple vendors for a variety of payment mechanisms.

“We wanted a company we could trust, as the project involved a variety of third party organisations, each having a hand in our critical payments operation,” he said. “TNS ensured Crazy John’s finance department has efficient reconciliation processes across the multiple payment channels, which has resulted in significantly reduced administration overheads and streamlined processes.”

Crazy John’s will also use the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard
(PCI-DSS) compliant Merchant Payment Gateway Solution to maintain the security of real time credit and debit card processing - including top-up cards - and stored card details for recurring transactions, he said.

According to Tuffley, TNS will store all sensitive card data offsite for Crazy John’s. This ensures the retailer is compliant, without having to change its internal systems and processes.
