Broadcast Australia completes $68.9M Hostworks purchase

Broadcast Australia has completed its $68.9 million purchase of managed
service provider Hostworks Group Limited.

The acquisition, which was
first announced in December last year was finalised yesterday, and has been met with great
support from both companies.

"There are many benefits that Hostworks and Broadcast Australia will
gain through this acquisition," said Broadcast Australia's Managing
Director Graeme Barclay.

"With our approach and capabilities, we will strengthen our ability to
provide connectivity in a multiplatform world, between owners of content
and the community."

"This acquisition will be a win-win for both organizations," Barclay
said, expecting a combined pool of contacts from both Hostworks and
Broadcast Australia, which is a subsidiary of the Macquarie
Communications Infrastructure Group, to benefit both companies.

Hostworks shareholders have reportedly showed overwhelming support for
the acquisition, with 99.06 percent of votes cast in favour of the purchase at
a meeting in mid-February.

The Hostworks Board of Directors have been nominated by Broadcast
Australia and include Chairman Graeme Barclay, Managing Director Marty
Gauvin, Peter Shore, Malcolm Keys and Brett Savill.
