The US Navy is experimenting with a robot designed to fight fires on ships. The two-legged humanoid Shipboard Autonomous Firefighting Robot (SAFFiR) is 177 centimetres tall, weighs 65kg, and can walk on uneven surfaces and manipulate doors and fire hoses.
