Rally was "well-received" by attendees and the public, despite an attempted "hijack" by an unrelated, anti-immigration group.

An estimated 300 people attended the Stop the Filter protest in Forrest Place, Perth.
Local band Project Mayhem entertained protestors.
The event kicked off at noon and wound down at around 2pm.
Co-organiser Andrew Middleton of Stop the Filter addressed attendees.
Mark Walmsley of the Liberal Democratic Party addressed attendees.
An Iranian-born activist spoke about freedom of speech.
Ben Peterson of the Socialist Alliance addressed attendees.
Michael Kent, an Internet Studies lecturer at Curtin Uni, addressed attendees.
Greens Senator Scott Ludlam addressed attendees.
Anti-immigration group Nationalist Alternative unfurled their banner while Greens Senator Scott Ludlam spoke to Stop the Filter attendees.
The rally continued as planned after a brief interruption by the Nationalist Alternative group.
