Inside the Global Switch Sydney data centre

A rare and exclusive look at the results of the last phase of construction and power and cooling upgrades at one of the region’s flagship data centres.

Dedicated Staging and Storage Space - First look inside one of the new pre-production/test rooms. These are a new offering by Globalswitch.

33 kV/11 kV transformer. Global Switch has two in an N+1 configuration.

Part of the N+N INERGEN® gas fire suppression system.

Trane 4.5 MW Chiller. 7 in total in N+1 configuration.

Cooling Towers supporting the Chillers. There are 21 in total.

Piller Rotary UPS Systems (22 in total).

UPS and their paired 2.2 MVA generators are grouped into power centres of three pairs. The facility has six power centres plus a redundant bank of four pairs.
