EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

The Federal Government's $80,000 ICT procurement threshold was labelled a "significant burden" for both government agencies and suppliers five years ago. The Government is still withholding information from that 2008 review.

Meanwhile, APRA appears to have become more supportive of cloud computing recently, and looks set to firm up its guidelines in an upcoming data protection guide following pressure from the privacy commissioner.

Have a good weekend.
