EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

Federal Government CIOs could be forced to slash IT budgets further under a new plan to find $550 million more in savings over the next three years.

And Melbourne's Swinburne University of Technology has deployed the last of the supercomputing nodes needed to complete its $2.6 million 'Green II' machine. The new supercomputer will be charged with crunching data on astronomy as well as microphotonics and optics.
