EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

Former Telstra boss Sol Trujillo is reportedly looking to get back in the telco game, attempting to garner interest in a $US30 billion takeover bid of T-Mobile USA. If the deal eventuates, it would be one of the largest private equity deals ever made in telecommunications.

And trade minister Craig Emerson has indicated interest in conducting a cost-benefit analysis of the contentious ACTA treaty before its ratification in Australia, following a core recommendation from a recent inquiry into the agreement.
