Recently appointed Chief Defence Scientist Dr Alex Zelinsky has explored the possibility of spinning off internal projects as new companies or licensing them to third parties in a bid to build capability and reduce cost outside of the department.
And 360 IT workers from ANZ will be moved across to Capgemini under a new outsourcing deal announced yesterday.
