EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

As promised yesterday, today we dive into Westpac's relationship with outsourced supplier IBM. Westpac group technology executive Bob McKinnon constructs a tale of redemption as his team rebuilds a relationship with Big Blue that was "dysfunctional" at best.

The only question left unanswered: If the relationship was so toxic, why re-negotiate with the supplier at all? I'm interested in your views on this.
