EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

We can now safely say that Election '10 truly was a "broadband election."

The five independent members of parliament that will most likely decide Australia's next Federal Government are all on record as supporters of the rollout of broadband into regional and rural areas.

The onus will now be on Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott to convince these independents of the merits of their respective plans for regional infrastructure. It is a huge opportunity for the Australian ICT industry to highlight the benefits such infrastructure can provide.
