EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

It was telling today to hear Kevin Rudd list the NBN build and the 300,000 notebooks rolled out to school students at the top of his list of achievements as Australian Prime Minister.

Despite the morose occasion for Kevin07, the industry should take some light from hearing Communications and IT concerns being elevated to a such a status.

The key question now - will the communications portfolio be one of the front bench seats to be shuffled under Prime Minister Gillard?

We've put up a poll on the front-page of iTnews. Tell us what you think.
