EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

In an in-depth interview with iTnews editor Brett Winterford, Telstra's acting CIO Ashley Lazaro described the telco's outlook on cloud computing, the x86 platform, and its data centre consolidation plans.

In other news, Communications Minister Stephen Conroy has lashed out at opposition to the Labor's ISP-level filter proposal, and a Sydney start-up has launched new software that aims to accelerate access to data on the cloud.
