While HP has refused to specify where its 9,000 job cuts will occur, an Australian representative told iTnews that very few of the redundancies will be client-facing.

In other news, Telstra has launched a surprise trial of Naked DSL broadband services, and EMC and its allies defended the concept of a 'private cloud' at its Inform event in Sydney today.
