EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

We continue our coverage of yesterday's NBN announcement by talking to some of the equipment vendors that could play a part in its rollout.

The question on our minds - and those of many others - is how the engagement model will look. Is alignment with the private sector still an entry point for sales or will the NBN Company handle equipment tenders? (plural assuming, of course, there's more than one).

The devil, naturally, is in the detail of the plans, which haven't yet been released in full. No doubt the vendor community will be one of many industry groups sweating on them...
