EDITOR'S NOTE

Greetings,

The Australian Government could store citizen data in the public cloud within ten years, according to AGIMO's John Sheridan, who refuted claims that it was taking too tentative an approach to the cloud at a conference last week.

We also look at how the Department of Parliamentary Services will secure its new free wifi service and Melbourne IT's plan to improve security processes after its Queensland Government clients were hacked last month.
