Business communications provider and Cisco partner, Touchbase Australia plans to expand into key markets including Sydney and Brisbane.

Touchbase eyes expansion after growth surge
The expansion move is based on the company’s 100 per cent quarter-on-quarter growth in the past 12 months.

Touchbase Australia business leader Andrew Fisher said the company was extremely pleased since becoming a Cisco partner in May 2006 after formally ending its partnership with Avaya.

Fisher said the past 12 months has been immensely satisfying since we made the biggest decision in our company’s history.

“Our transition to Cisco has proved an enormous success, with our revenue 10 times the level we were experiencing previously.”

Touchbase Australia’s total staff trebled from 25 at the beginning of the year to 73 now. The plan is to have at least 125 employees by the end of 2008, comprising 80 in Sydney, 30 in Brisbane and 15 for Melbourne. Touchbase will also expand in Adelaide.

Touchbase maintains Cisco Master Specialisation certification in the Asia Pacific – the highest level of technical specialisation that Cisco awards. Touchbase was Cisco business partner of the year Asia Pacific 2006.

“We’ve secured major contracts recently with blue-chip clients such as Austar, Heritage Building Society, MBF, Standards Australia, Hilton Sydney, Minter Ellison and Lion Nathan,” Mr Fisher said. “I’m pleased to say that we’re very close to announcing some significant new client engagements which could double our business overnight.”
