Outsourcer KAZ has appointed two managers to head new business units focused on RFID and Microsoft ERP and CRM.

Outsourcer KAZ has appointed two managers to head new business units focused on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Microsoft ERP and CRM.

KAZ said in a statement that Capgemini's former global head of RFID, Jonathan Loretto, would take the general manager role in KAZ's new "Trading Solutions" division.

The Trading Solutions unit would focus on RFID and supply chain management. The supply chain management business could be worth around $9 billion a year in two years time, the company said.

Loretto said KAZ had started several RFID projects.

"RFID allows any company that makes, assembles, ships or maintains products to achieve 100 percent visibility of their goods in transit, as well as gaining accurate data for their supply chain systems," he said.

KAZ had also created "Microsoft Business Solutions", an ERP and CRM unit headed by Marianne Broeng, the company said.

Broeng had worked with Microsoft and Navision, which Microsoft bought in 2002. She helped in the global launch of Microsoft CRM and had specialist skills in Microsoft ERP platforms Navision and Axapta.

"From KAZ's point of view, implementing these platforms is a logical extension of the consulting, hosting and other services we already offer," Broeng said.

"We are one of the largest Microsoft Gold Certified Partners with about 100 Microsoft certified employees."
