The pricing is to give mobile app developers an idea of how much they can charge for their applications.
RIM has said the lowest price people can expect to pay for applications is US$2.99 for US BlackBerry owners, a higher fee than the iPhone’s lowest application prices, which fall below US$1.
Both RIM and Apple offer free applications as well.
