EDITOR'S NOTE
|
Good morning,
While the politicians in Canberra bicker over the speeds they think Australians should get we asked you, iTnews readers, what you needed to live, work and play each day.
From a sample of 620 readers, nearly two-thirds said you needed download speeds faster than 100Mbps while just 17 percent were happy on each of either 12Mbps or 24Mbps.
And for those who say Australians don't need gigabit speeds, 38 percent of iTnews readers disagreed - the largest group in our, admittedly, non-scientific poll.
What killer apps are you guys using (or want) that needs such bandwidth? Let us know and we'll publish the best responses.

"Its interesting to see some real numbers put on the cost, and it is substantial, times that by the thousands of notices an ISP receives daily/weekly, and the costs add up to a lot. I hope AFACT and Australian politicians are paying attention to data like this. "
