The 17-year-old, not named by the court, was sentenced to 11 month's juvenile detention for illegally accessing the hotel heiress's T-Mobile cell phone account and posting her photo's and celebrity contacts on the internet.
On release, he will be supervised for two years and barred from possessing any computer or other electronic equipment to access the internet during that time.
According to the Washington Post, the boy also pleaded guilty to making expletive-ridden bomb threats at two high schools and to hacking into a telephone company's computer system to let his friends make free phone calls. The teen also took part in a hack on LexisNexis that exposed personal information on 300,000 consumers.
The Justice Department is said to be the investigating the boy's associates, but it is not known how many of those people will be prosecuted. Last May, Secret Service agents and Feds served search warrants on nine people thought to be connected to a group of hackers, called the Defonic Team Screen Name Club (DFNCTSC), which the boy is thought to be a member.
