The Commonwealth Bank has flicked the switch on a new cloud-based human resources and payroll platform.
Two years ago the bank revealed it woud replace its existing on-premises Oracle PeopleSoft platform with Workday's cloud-based human resources solution.
It formed part of a global HR technology and payroll transformation at the bank.
CBA migrated its international operations onto Workday first.
Last week it set its Australian operations live on the Workday platform, which integrates locally with a new ADP solution for payroll.
ADP and Workday have a long running partnership for their competing platforms, intended to make it easier for them both to offer payroll in countries with differing compliance requirements and processes.
In 2015 they further integrated their platforms to make it easier for Workday customers to manage ADP payroll information from within Workday's software and vice versa.
CBA's executive general manager of group people services Andrew Culleton said the new systems should be easier to use and more adaptable to the changing needs of managers and employees.
"We are transforming how our core systems work; improving and then leveraging the data integration between our other HR solutions, to make HR services simple, easy and flexible for our people," he said in a statement to iTnews.
"This means our people get to the outcome they need faster so they have more time to meet the needs of our customers.”
