Foxtel awarded for Austar integration

Robyn Elliott named Utilities CIO of the Year.

Foxtel CIO Robyn Elliott has been awarded Utilities CIO of the Year at the iTnews Benchmark Awards in Melbourne, for the media company's migration of the customer data from its Austar acquisition.

Foxtel has managed to migrate the customer care operations and data from its acquired competitor, Austar, in one great lift-and-shift.

Crucially, the company managed the transition without customers experiencing downtime.

The judges lauded Elliott and her team for prudent technology selection, strong planning and a constructive partnership with Foxtel's services partner.

Accepting the award on Elliott's behalf, Acting CIO David Marks thanked Elliott's broader team for bringing a great project to fruition.
