  Editor's Note

At last week's AISA conference in Melbourne, the Australian Signals Directorate unveiled plans for the new Cyber Security Centre in Canberra, which is close to operational. One of the first items on the agenda was an 'exchange of prisoners' between InfoSec staff at major Australian organisations and the ASD, as a means of sharing threat intelligence and boosting overall skills.

The question we asked attendees was - in the wake of what we know about government snooping and efforts by the state to act on behalf of favoured commercial interests, would you open up your InfoSec data to the Australian Government?

You can find the results here.

So far, roughly two in three have said they would be willing to share their data. I'd be interested in your input prior to closing the survey later this week.
