  Editor's Note

Good afternoon,

Today marks the last edition of iTnews that I'll be signing off as editor.

Over 15 years - six of them here at iTnews - I've been fortunate to meet many of you and pick your brains on all things technology. It's been a very rewarding job.

Some of your enthusiasm must have washed off on me - from next month I'll be diving a little deeper into IT security and privacy at a new role in the financial services sector.

I'd like to thank past and present colleagues at iTnews for too many early mornings and late evenings and thank our sponsors for backing one of the few independent voices in the industry.

I'd also like to thank you - readers and contributors - for continuing to support iTnews. You've got a very dedicated team of journalists at your service - feel free to join me in congratulating incoming iTnews editor Penny Wolf, who'll take the reins from here, and best wishes to the queens of the newsroom, Allie Coyne and Paris Cowan.

-- Brett Winterford.
